Demolition Begins

Well, as Jon gets further and further into seeing how this boat has been maintained.....it's a bit scarry!  Quite a bit of rotted wood.....that has just been covered up.  We've decided to do this boat right and get rid of all the rotted wood.  It's going to be a process.....but she'll be a beauty when she's done.  Here are just a few of the photos of the Demolition......

Boating down the ICW

In November of 2010.  Jon and I drove to Charleston, S.C. to pick-up our new boat.  Here are some photos of what she looked like when we arrived!  She definitely needed some work and some TLC!

With the help of Jon's Brother & Sister-in-law, Steve and Amy, we boated her down the ICW....our destination was back home in Fort Pierce, FL.  It was so cold, but we had the best adventure.  But; between one of the Engines blowing, as soon as we left the Charleston port....to the steering going out the first day......to spending the first night at a boat dock in the middle of nowhere, with no electricity.....to, finally, the trim tab hitting the rutter in St. Augustine, Fl.....which is as far as she went.  We had her towed out of the water and trailered the rest of the way home.

She arrived home and now the Cosmetic Surgery begins.......
